Achaban House is half a mile east of Fionnphort on the A849 which runs the length of Mull and connects Tobermory in the north with Fionnphort in the south. All ferry connections, whether from Oban to Craignure, Lochaline to Fishnish or Kilchoan and to Tobermory, connect to the A849 and therefore heading south from any of these ports will bring you to Achaban.

Achaban House, a former manse, is over 150 year old. The house is less than one mile from Fionnphort on the Isle of Mull, off the beautiful west coast of Scotland. The 4000 to 5000 year old standing stone in the grounds is the perfect place to take in the picturesque views over Loch Pottie. Our proximity to Fionnphort makes us the ideal choice for those wishing to explore the historic Island of Iona, the birthplace of Scottish Christianity and the final resting place for many Scottish kings and queens. For ramblers, The Ross of Mull offers many beautiful beaches and walks due to the unique geology. Rich in abundant bird life it is home to the mighty golden eagle amongst other large birds of prey. For the more adventurous, trips to the nearby Treshnish Islands, with their colony of puffins and other sea birds, is a must. The view of Fingal's cave and basalt columns on the Island of Staffa should also not be missed. It is not uncommon to see whales and dolphins on these excursions. We offer both Bed and Breakfast accommodation as well as Self Catering accommodation with the option of an evening meal by arrangement.
